Throughout my life, I have loved learning. School was always a safe and fun place for me and my friends. That love of learning took me to business school where I earned both undergraduate and graduate business degrees. Through my business education and corporate professional experience, I enjoyed the leadership piece the most. I remember when I first learned about Myers-Briggs (MBTI, ENFJ) many years ago, it was like putty for my brain. I am a proud mom of
three sweet kids who remind me every day to stay in the present moment and be grateful for the opportunity to give and receive love everyday!

 Prior to my first child being born, I left a busy career as a professional in the medical industry. As a mom, I have focused a great deal of my energy on studying childhood development, which motivated me to put what I have learned into action. I successfully developed and implemented several organized groups and activities for my children which focused on fostering stronger relationships and connections between kids. 

My Connect Kids Story:

I was inspired to create Connect Kids in 2023 when I recognized the need in the marketplace for a fun & innovative social-emotional curriculum for kids that taught them how to further develop & build social/emotional skills that help them to connect to themselves and each other. Study after study shows that when a child feels heard, understood & supported by their adults and peers, they have better overall physical and mental health outcomes. Many parents agree that we need this in our communities more than ever right now! 

Soon after the idea was envisioned, I created Connect Kids’ business plan and general methodology. It was at that time that I knew Amy would make the perfect partner because of her warmth, clinical Nurse Practitioner experience and steadfast work ethic. Together, we got to work on creating the program’s multi-week Connect Kids curriculum through a blended growth mindset and behavioral leadership methodology. It’s been full steam ahead ever since!  As equal partners, Amy and I are driven to create positive change in the lives of kids by helping them build important skills and supporting them in feeling empowered about themselves and their relationships.
